I'M FROM THE COUNTRY

Although, I live in the "country", as my Dad put's it. I'm really not fond of the wild critters that sometimes show up out here. So far, in three years we've had snakes, mice, and now rats. Today was, "Figure out what I'm going to do with this half dead rat in my flower bed day." This morning, my dogs were going crazy. I thought that there was a cat or something on the porch. But nooooo, I soon found out that it was a half head rat. Not a field mouse, but a rat. My 11 year old son thought that it was a mole. He even poked it with a stick. It only moved slightly. It's eyes would barely open, and you could see it's breathing was very shallow. Ga...rosss!

I called all of the retired men folk on my block that are home during the day. Guess what, none of them were home. My 40 plus hours a week husband, the Mail Man was at work. Greeeat... Isn't he always when you have a female emergency? In our town's small telephone book , there was no number for Animal Control. What crap am I going to do now? I call my Dad, he's an older guy. "Oh it won't hurt anything, and... you live in the country now, you're going to have to get use to that." What...ever! Ah... no I'm not. Here's the long story short. He comes over inspects the situation. No, it's not a mole, it's a rat. That's good to know. Either way, just get rid of it. So, he put's it out of his missery by bashing it with a shovel.

No, I did not watch that! That would have been disgusting. Put's it in a plastic bag, and then in the trash cart. So now, I have a vermin free flower garden again, and I can get on with my day. Wonderful! My husband in his infinite wisdom says, "why does it seem like things like that only happen when I'm at work?" Gee I don't know, I'll have all of the misplaced critters wait until you get home from now on. I'm kidding by the way. I never said that, but I thought it ! Again, " I'm from the country, and I like it that way." (tm) Yee haw, ya'll! Talk to you soon.

SCHOFIELD
The English dweller in the hut or shed in the field would be Schofield.

First, I thought that I would clarify the meaning behind the surname; my married surname Schofield. Which is why I entitled my blog "Sitting In My Schofield."
On to more important matters. Again, I created my blog yesterday afternoon to vent my frustrations on those who have wronged me so-to-speak. Bottom line, this all stemed from a hurtful E-mail. I don't know about you, but when someone wrongly attacks my character and my intentions. It just makes me want to lash out. Although, I'm much too old, and don't intend on making the time for such High School drama. I'm talking about all of that he said, she said bologna.

As a 30 somthing, yes that's right, I said 30 something. You didn't think that I was just going to come out and tell my age did you? Women aren't great fans of doing that. Anyway, in your later years, your middle- adult years you by now should have crafted the art of being "the bigger person." As children, if someone hurt our feelings, our actions may have been more of a physical nature. Meaning, we may have hurt them physically. I know, in this day day and age of road rage and similar emotions, we could all just easily run someone off the road.

In conclusion, if you didn't get the gist of today's post. No matter how old you are, "be the bigger person" if someone says something nasty about you. Especially if it was unture. Those kind of people have to live with their conscious. Again, it's only words, and you know the truth. Life isn't always black and white. Although, I have found, it's a lot easier just to cut your ties with those sort of people, and move on with your life. Remember, supposed friends wear all kinds of disguises. See you soon!

BETH'S NEW BLOG

I have created this blog for my "close" friends and family. This blog will be used a forum to express our daily gripes, opinions, experiences and interests. I will tread lightly on the "non-politically correct" issuses. Such issues inclue, religion and politics. If I offend anyone, or their views, let me apologize in advance. I just think that, all of those who wish to participate will benefit from being given the opportunity to express themselves. I'll see you soon. Let the games begin!

THIS IS ONLY A TEST

Just testing the waters. I Am trying to get this blog thing figured out, I'll be back.
